Archiving contacts
Archiving keeps your Contacts list focused on active leads and customers, without permanently deleting anyone. Archived contacts are hidden from the default view but fully recoverable.
Archiving a contact
Archive a contact from its detail page (or the row actions in the list). The contact is marked as archived and removed from your Active list.
Archiving is a soft action — nothing is deleted. The record, along with its notes, tasks, activities, and emails, is preserved.
What changes when a contact is archived
- A yellow banner appears on the detail page: "This contact is archived. Unarchive to schedule demos or send emails."
- The Schedule a Demo and Edit buttons are hidden.
- You can still view the contact and its history.
Viewing archived contacts
Use the Archive filter on the Contacts list:
- Active — the default; excludes archived contacts.
- Archived — shows only archived contacts.
- All — shows both.
See Searching and filtering contacts.
Unarchiving
Open an archived contact and click Unarchive in the banner. The contact returns to your active list, and you can edit and schedule demos again. Both archiving and unarchiving are recorded in the contact's Activities.
