HelpGuides customers

Confluence is too heavy. Notion is too leaky.

Onboarding docs in Notion get shared by accident. Confluence pages get stale because nobody opens them. Slack threads are unsearchable. HelpGuides gives you a private, AI-aware wiki that loads fast, looks like a real product, and lets Claude help you keep it current.

Private by default

SSO, role-based access, audit-friendly.

Your wiki is private by default. Sign-in via SSO, with super-admin, admin, and member roles. Track who created and last updated every article — perfect for audits, runbooks, and policy changes.

  • Private portal — only signed-in employees can read
  • Super-admin, admin, and member roles
  • Created-by and updated-by stamps on every article

AI Assistant

“Where do I find the deploy runbook?” — answered.

Drop the chatbot in the wiki and on your internal tools. New hires ask in plain language and get a grounded answer with a link to the source. Half of every onboarding day, automated.

  • AI answers grounded in your handbook, runbooks, and policies
  • Cites the article so people can read deeper
  • Failed-query report — what your team couldn't find this week

AI Authoring

Turn a Loom and a screenshot into an SOP.

Ops, HR, and engineering teams write the same docs over and over. Drop the screenshot, write a sentence of context, and HelpGuides drafts the SOP. Polish in WYSIWYG and ship.

  • Generate from up to 5 screenshots at once
  • WYSIWYG editor — no markdown required
  • Inline category creation — no context switching

API + MCP

Let Claude keep the wiki current.

Every change to your tooling triggers a wiki update — except nobody writes it. With MCP, Claude can read the existing doc, draft an update, and submit it for review. Six tools for read, create, update, image upload, list collections, and identity.

  • MCP server works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and any MCP client
  • Same bearer-token auth as the REST API
  • AI writes default to draft — humans approve before publish
Internal-first

Private docs — but the same speed and search as your public ones.

Internal docs deserve the same fast, server-rendered, full-text-searchable experience as public ones. We don't compromise on UX just because the audience is your team. Toggle articles or whole portals public when something needs to ship externally.

  • Private portal with SSO — only your team can read
  • Per-article publish controls (draft / published / archived)
  • Full-text search across your entire wiki
  • Same fast loads as our public portals

Everything else you need to ship great docs

Less ceremony, more shipping. The little things that add up over a year of writing.

Failed-query reports

See every search a visitor ran that returned no answer — the highest-signal backlog for what to write next.

Multi-user with roles

Invite your team. Super-admin, company-admin, and member roles. Track who created and last updated every article.

Full customization

Logo, accent color, custom domain, dark mode, embed widget — every surface inherits your brand without writing CSS.

AI-assisted writing

Generate drafts from screenshots, polish in WYSIWYG, and let an AI agent extend articles via the MCP server.

We replaced three different tools with HelpGuides. Our docs are now on docs.levelupdemo.com, our AI assistant deflects half our support tickets, and writing a new article takes ten minutes instead of an afternoon.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wiki really private?

Yes. Set the portal to private and only signed-in members of your company can read. Articles can be draft, published (visible to all signed-in users), or archived.

Do you support SSO?

Yes — Google SSO is built in. SAML and Okta are on the roadmap. Reach out if SAML is a hard requirement before you sign up.

Can different teams have different access?

Three roles — super-admin, company-admin, and member — cover most workflows. Granular per-category permissions are planned. Reach out if your access model needs more granularity today.

How is HelpGuides different from Confluence or Notion?

Confluence is enterprise-heavy with a 2010-era editor. Notion is great as a flexible doc but leaks via shared links by accident, lacks a real chatbot, and has no MCP server. HelpGuides is private-by-default, has a built-in AI chatbot trained on your wiki, AI authoring, and MCP integration for Claude.

Can Claude or ChatGPT keep my wiki up to date?

Yes. The MCP server gives Claude and ChatGPT six tools for read, create, update, image upload, list collections, and identity. AI-authored writes default to draft so your team always reviews before publish.

Can we host the wiki on our own domain?

Yes — wiki.yourcompany.com (or any custom domain) with automatic SSL. Available on all paid plans.

Can I make individual articles public while keeping the rest private?

Yes. Set the portal private and toggle specific articles public when they need to ship externally. Or run two portals — public docs and private wiki — under one account.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — unlimited articles on free, including custom branding. Free includes 10 AI chatbot credits per month; PRO bumps to 100/month and unlocks AI article generation.

Give your team a wiki worth opening.

Free to start. No credit card. SSO + custom domain on all paid plans.
