Custom Branding
Make your knowledge base look and feel like part of your brand. HelpFiles supports customization of colors, logos, and overall theme to create a cohesive experience for your users.
Brand Elements
You can customize the following elements:
Logo
Display your company logo in the top-left corner of the navigation bar. Supported formats: SVG, PNG, or JPEG.
- Recommended size: 120×32 pixels
- Dark mode: Provide a separate logo variant for dark backgrounds
Colors
Customize the primary color scheme to match your brand:
- Primary color — Used for links, active states, and accent elements
- Sidebar background — Left navigation background color
- Header background — Top navigation bar color
Typography
While the base typography is optimized for readability, you can customize:
- Heading font — Font family for headings (H1-H6)
- Body font — Font family for body text
- Code font — Font family for code blocks and inline code
Applying Your Brand
To customize your branding:
- Navigate to the Editor interface
- Access Customization settings
- Upload your logo and configure colors

Dark Mode
HelpFiles includes built-in dark mode support. Users can toggle between light and dark themes using the toggle in the bottom corner.
Your brand colors are automatically adapted for both modes:
- Light mode uses your brand colors at full saturation
- Dark mode lightens your brand colors for readability on dark backgrounds
Best Practices
- Consistency — Match your knowledge base colors to your main product
- Readability — Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background
- Simplicity — A clean, minimal brand treatment works best for documentation
- Test both modes — Check that your branding looks good in both light and dark mode
